With the holiday season in full gear, consumer advocates advise consumers to plan and budget well to ensure they don’t end up overspending or facing credit card bills months after the holiday season concludes.
“One of the best ways consumers can ensure that holiday cheer doesn’t turn into a holiday hangover is to plan in advance by preparing a budget for gift and entertaining spending,” Jason Alderman, personal finance expert and director of Visa’s Practical Money Skills for Life program, said in a statement.
Some planning and budgeting tips he offers consumers include:
